Injection Molded Parts Under one roof

Idis India – One stop solution for Injection molded parts design and development from concept to production. Since we design, develop and produce molds and articles inhouse, we have full control of the article and mold. This helps us to replace or maintanance of the mold very easily and in time. ABS, Polycarbonate, Nylon, PVC, HIPS, Peek are most useful enginnering material.

Conceptual Design

Each new innovation starts with an idea. We help you to convert your ideas in to concepts. First wrong step can lead to full project failure.

Article design

We design cad models based on concepts, drawings, reverse engineering in latest 3d cad softwares like creo, solid works etc.

Prototype – 3d Prints

Idis prepared prototype with inhouse 3d printer and assemble all components in enclosure, we send the assembly to customer for approval.

Mold Design

After prototype approval from customer, we design mold based on material of article, life cycle volume, lot size, geometry & complexity of article in 3d cad softwares.

Mold Manufacturing

We manufacture molds in house to control the critical aspects of mold manufacturing process. We keep full contol with us from concept to production.

Production – Injection Molding

Idis India manufactures enclosures in house in machines from 60 Ton to 450 Ton. This covers almost all size of small to bigger size of enclosures.

Mold Manufacturing Processes

As a part of the complete solution of injection molded enclosures, it is very important to understand the processes involved in it. This clears understand that the complete process of enclosure design and development is time taking and cannot be done parallel. As we have all the facilities in house, that helps to build the mold in tight schedules including trial and testing of the article.

Raw Material Machining

Raw material of the Mold is most important. Based on the selection of the mold, life of the Mold is calculated. Hardness, strength, corrosion resistance are main parameters for selection of mold material.

Milling and Turning

Milling and turning is done on the raw material to form the mold cavity and punch. Surface finish and tight tolerances within 10 microns are needed some time for critical and butting components.

EDM and Spark

When geometry is not feasible with our VMC CNC machines, we have to use EDM techniques to form the critical geometry. This often creates higher surface roughness and need fine polishing afterwards.

Ruff Polishing

Once all machining and EDM operations done, ruff polishing is required prior to trial of injection molding. This helps to release the component from the mold Punch and cavity. Polishing requires good human skill.

Mold Trial

Once polishing is done, our team assembles the mold and checks all parameters prior to trial. This mold trial is for the purpose of sample approval or dimension approval from customer.

Case Hardening

After successful mold trial and confirmation from customer, we harden the mold by nitriding process. Liquid, gas and plasma nitriding is used based on requirement of hardness and thickness of layer.

Final Polishing

Final policing is the completely human polishing skill. Based on requirement, we make semi finish, matt finish, mirror finish and mix of above finishes too.

Surface Protection

To prevent from corrosion, we have options of electroless plating or hard chrome on the main plates of the Mold. Thickness and hardness of the coating plays important role for mold life.

Final Trial

This is final step of assigning a Unique SKU of the product and making final production or Final Trial in our Factory. We finalize special packaging and labels as per customer’s requirement and ship the products.

Materials we used

We work with a carefully selected range of engineering-grade plastics — ABS, Polycarbonate, Nylon, PEEK, TPU and PVC — each chosen for specific performance requirements. Our in-house injection moulding process ensures tight tolerances and consistent quality across every batch. From standard parts to custom designs, we deliver components that are built to perform in real-world conditions.

ABS

Most common plastic for electrical enclosures and junction boxes. Strong enough to handle daily wear and tear, yet easy to work with. Machines cleanly and holds its shape under normal industrial conditions. Perfect for indoor applications where reliability matters most

Polycarbonate

Think of it as tough glass that won’t shatter. Used where you need to see inside without opening the box. Handles heat and impact far better than regular plastic. Great for transparent lids, sight glasses and protective covers.

Nylon PA6

Tough, smooth and handles friction well. You’ll find it in cable glands, connectors and moving parts. Self-lubricating nature makes it ideal where parts rub against each other. Works reliably under mechanical stress and moderate temperatures.

PEEK

The premium choice when ordinary plastics simply can’t handle the job. Used in aerospace, medical devices and high-heat industrial equipment. Resists chemicals, extreme temperatures and heavy wear without degrading. Expensive but worth every penny in critical applications.

TPU

Plastic that behaves like rubber without losing its strength. Used in cable covers, seals and gaskets where flexibility matters. Absorbs shocks and vibrations well without cracking or losing shape. A reliable choice wherever you need both softness and durability.

PVC

The everyday workhorse of electrical installations worldwide. Found in conduits, cable insulation, pipe fittings and more. Naturally flame-retardant and resistant to chemicals and moisture. Affordable, versatile and proven to perform indoors and outdoors alike.
