10-Way DIN Rail Spacing and Module Layout

The 10 way configuration uses standard 18mm DIN rail spacing. Each MCB slot maintains proper clearance for heat dissipation and easy maintenance access.
Our enclosures accommodate both single pole and double pole MCBs. You can mix configurations – say 6 single pole and 2 double pole MCBs – depending on your load requirements.
DIN rail mounting holes are pre-positioned for exact alignment. No field drilling or adjustment needed. The rail snaps into place with a simple click mechanism.

Extended Circuit Load Calculations for 10-Way Systems
The answer to how much load a 10-way MCB box can handle depends on many factors, such as the ratings of the MCBs and the size of the wires used. However, the size of the enclosure itself is not a limitation on how much load can be connected to the box. If you are connecting loads in a home, you would typically use MCBs rated at 16 amps; however, if you are connecting loads to a commercial application, the MCBs used would be rated at either 25 or 32 amps. The 10-way MCB box will accommodate all standard sizes of MCBs. Because there are 10 circuits in one box, heat buildup could be an issue; therefore, the boxes offer ventilation channels, which help prevent heat stress from occurring. The material that the boxes are made from is PC, which maintains structural integrity when exposed to a long-term continuous load. There will be proper bending radius for wire terminations, so multiple conductors will not have too much difficulty being connected in the tight areas of the MCB box.
MCB Slot Configuration Planning
Having a well-planned MCB layout will help save on installation time and allow for easier servicing of the circuits. Make sure related circuits are grouped together and that high-current loads are kept separate from sensitive circuits. Make sure to label all locations before beginning the installation process. If you anticipate needing to add circuits later, take this into account in your layout design and leave some locations empty rather than having all locations fully populated the first time. The compatibility of RCBOs can vary significantly by manufacturer, make sure to verify the specific dimensions of your RCBOs prior to finalizing your enclosure choice.
Multi-Branch Wire Management Techniques
If you have more than one circuit there will be many wires. By organizing your wires properly, you will reduce headaches with installing and maintaining your equipment. Use the internal wire guides to segregate the incoming and outgoing conductors. Use separate terminal blocks for neutrals and earth conductors. By using cable glands, you will retain the IP65 environmental protection of your wiring installation while allowing multiple entries of cables into the enclosure. Be sure to select the appropriate size cable gland for the diameter of the bundled conductors. When grouping circuits together, keep similar circuits grouped, use colored conductors for easy identification and maintain the minimum bending radius of the cable. Secure your bundled wires to avoid strain on the wiring. Make sure you leave service loops in the wiring for future maintenance.
Commercial Panel Integration Methods
Sub Panels are often found in larger commercial installations using MCBs (Miniature Circuit Breakers) as their breaker architecture to provide distribution of power from main panels to various places and/or equipment in the facility. Your sub panels should have an appropriate amount of coordination between upstream protective devices to allow for integration. The MCB rating for each sub panel MCB should be rated less than the rating of the corresponding feeder breaker to allow for selective coordination in the event of a fault. Grounding is also critical when there are multiple sub panels involved, they must all have a proper ground connection to the ground bus located in the main panel. Having proper documentation will assist with future maintenance if the MCB’s associated with each sub-panel is properly marked with the appropriate location of the main panel breaker feeding those sub-panels.
10-Way Installation Access Design

When you install a circuit box with 10 circuits or more, it is important to allow for the use of more than one wire run, as well as multiple MCB installations. Our box design provides easy access for all connection points. The hinged cover of the enclosure opens freely without any interference from the side of the box. Also, the knockouts on the enclosure are positioned such that they will not cause wire congestion. Our wall-mounting brackets allow for slight adjustment when mounting the enclosure, which provides a level enclosure even when the surface to which it is mounted is not perfectly flat. Finally, consider installing the MCB enclosure first (before running cables), as it will minimize your handling of expensive components after you run the cables to each of the MCBs.
